A 22-year-old Belmont man has been granted bail with surety in connection with the sexual penetration of a developmentally challenged 15-year-old.

Isaiah Cain aka ‘Dog Rice’ was granted $100,000 bail with surety by Magistrate Adia Mohammed when he appeared in the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

He is expected to reappear before a Magistrate on July 4.

The charge against Cain arose out of an incident which allegedly occurred on May 16 when the victim was on her way to school.

The victim was lured into an abandoned house in Belmont, by a man who had sex with her against her will.

A report was made to the police on the same date of the incident, which led to Cain being arrested on May 31.

The charge was laid by PC Frederick, of the Child Protection Unit POS, on June 3.
