Police destroyed TT$1.34 million worth of drugs in Moruga on Friday.
A statement by the Police Service said that the exercise was carried out by the Organised Crime Intelligence Unit (OCIU) of the Moruga Police Station, Air Support Unit and Trinidad and Tobago Regiment.
During the exercise, officers proceeded to La Lune Village where they discovered four marijuana fields containing 1,250 trees, 20lbs of cured marijuana, three camps and a quantity of camouflage clothing.
The fields and camps were subsequently destroyed.
Investigations are ongoing.
