Three suspects, one as young as 15 years old, were arrested by police in connection with a robbery in Central Trinidad.
According to a statement from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, the three suspects, ages 15-23, were arrested for robbery with violence by officers of the Caroni Police Station on March 15, 2019.
Police said the two men and a teenaged boy were arrested following investigations into a report made by a 43-year-old Caroni man, who reported that he had been beaten and robbed by three men after one of them asked him for $20.
When the victim declined to give the man the money, two other men approached and all three began to beat the man about his body, steal his wallet and two cell phones.
All three were found hiding in a shed along Railway Road, Caroni, and taken to the Caroni Police Station, pending charges.
