$150,000 in marijuana trees destroyed in Las Lomas

Marijuana trees with an estimated street value of $150,000 were destroyed by officers of the Central Division Task Force during an anti-crime exercise in the Las Lomas district on Friday, January 19, 2018.

According to a statement from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, the exercise was supervised by Snr. Supt. (Ag.), Kenny McIntyre and ASP (Ag.) Richard Smith and including the Canine Branch.

The exercise was conducted between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm during which officers proceeded to a forested area in the Las Lomas district.

There, police came across 150 fully grown marijuana trees and 250 marijuana seedlings. The trees were subsequently destroyed.

No arrests were made in connection with the find.
