$157K missing: Security guards questioned

A security officer, along with two estate sergeants, are being investigated on allegations of embezzlement.

According to police reports, Central Division Police received a report that the three suspects may have taken over $157,000 of cash belonging to a gas station in Chaguanas.

The incident allegedly took place on January 19.

The three officers visited the gas station and were handed three bags containing large quantities of cash.

The bags were to be taken to the RBC branch in Trincity.

However, further checks by the gas station employee revealed that one of the bags – containing the TT$157,000 in cash – was missing.

As a result, the police were notified, and after a meticulous serious of investigations, the three security personnel were detained and questioned.
