Update: Three more samples sent for COVID-19 testing

Three more samples have been submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) and UWI site for COVID-19 testing since the Ministry of Health's (MoH) 10 am clinical update.

The total number of samples sent to detect infected persons to date stands at 5,558.

In the 6 pm update, the MoH noted that the number of positives remains at 133; 117 people have been discharged from the hospital, eight people have died and eight cases are active.

The Ministry of Health said two people have been discharged from the Caura Hospital, with the number of confirmed cases still at 133.

In its 10 am update on Monday, the Ministry said two people were discharged from the Caura Hospital, and to date, eight patients are being treated there.

The Ministry said there is a total of 133 confirmed cases at this time after two more people tested positive over the weekend.

To date, 5,555 samples have been submitted for testing with 4,171 unique patient tests completed and 1,384 repeated tests.

To date, 117 people have been discharged and the death toll remains at eight.

The Ministry said no one is currently in any of the step-down facilities.
