200 cured marijuana trees found in Matelot camp

Police are once again reminding citizens that the legal limit for marijuana possession in this country per person remains up to 30 grammes or up to four plants.

This latest reminder comes after Eastern Division police trekked over 200 feet into a forested area in Matelot to find an estimated 200 cured marijuana plants in a make-shift camp.

The drugs were said to have an estimated value of $90,000. The cured drugs were photographed, and destroyed.

No one was held in connection with the find.

This operation was coordinated by Snr Supt Aguilal, and supervised by Cpl Frederick. It also included personnel from the Matelot Police Station.
