$200 fine for man who walked into police station and cursed officers

A 23-year-old man was fined $200 following an incident in which he allegedly walked into a police station and cursed officers there.

According to reports, Miguel Roberts, from Carenage, allegedly made his way into the Carenage Police Station on Sunday and engaged with the officers in a loud and disorderly manner.

He is said to have used obscene language against the officers during the course of his actions.

He was arrested and taken into custody.

The 23-year-old appeared in court yesterday, charged with disorderly conduct, using obscene language, using insulting language, and resisting arrest.

He pleaded guilty to the offence of disorderly conduct, however, he pleaded not guilty to the other offences.

Roberts was fined for the offence he pleaded guilty for, and placed on bail at $10,000 in relation to the other three charges.

The matter was then adjourned.
