2020 Fete Report: Karukera Festival comes to T&T for Carnival

The Karukera One Love Festival is coming to Trinidad and Tobago for Carnival 2020.

The festival, which originated in Guadeloupe, will be held on Carnival Friday, February 21, in partnership with Caesar’s Army.

Jules Sobion, head Roman of the popular party brand, told Loop the Karukera One Love Festival will be coming to T&T for the first time.

Sobion said he has been wanting to reach out to his French West Indian side so he was happy when the festival organisers reached out to them about staging the event here.

The festival allows the different sounds of the Caribbean to be heard in T&T.

According to the festival’s website, the festival will be held on a stage in the beach and will feature performances from Machel Montano, Elephant Man, Marzville, Skinny Fabulous, Motto and Nailah Blackman to name a few.

Karukera is a music festival from Guadeloupe that was created to connect all the Caribbean islands by showcasing the diversity of our music on a stage on the ocean.
