$25,000 stolen from truck; police ask citizens not to be easy targets

Police are once again reminding citizens not to make themselves easy targets for criminal elements.

This time the message comes after a man was robbed of over $25,000 which he left in a bag in his car.

According to police reports, at about 2 pm on Thursday, the victim, of Longdenville, Chaguanas, parked his blue Toyota Hilux in the car park of KFC in Maraval.

He reportedly placed a bag containing $25,525 under his front seat and left the vehicle.

Upon returning 15 minutes later, he found the right rear window of the vehicle broken and the bag of cash missing.

The police were immediately notified and officers from the Maraval Police Station responded.
