26 people arrested in Tobago anti-crime exercise

Twenty-six persons were arrested and a quantity of marijuana was seized by police, following anti-crime exercises in the Tobago Division on Wednesday. 

These exercises took place between 3:00 am and 9:45 am in the Crown Point, Shirvan Road and Scarborough Districts. 

During the exercises, which were supervised by Snr. Supt. George and ASP Kirk, search warrants were executed at several homes. Of the 26 persons arrested; 12 were held for outstanding warrants, 11 for possession of marijuana, two for housebreaking and larceny and one for robbery. 

The exercises were carried out by officers attached to the Scarborough, Roxborough, Shirvan Road, Charlotteville and Crown Point Police Stations, the Criminal Investigations Department, Special Branch Unit, Organised Crime Intelligence Unit, Tobago Divisional Task Force, Emergency Response Patrol, Court and Process, Criminal Records Office and Trinidad and Tobago Defense Force.
