311, Daughtry concert cancelled due to 'technical difficulties'

Events promoter Paramita International Distribution Limited said the upcoming concert featuring international rock bands 311 and Daughtry, has been cancelled due to 'technical difficulties'.

The company's Managing Director Vishesh RamSingh made a statement on Wednesday to its Facebook page just days before the bands were scheduled to perform at the Hasely Crawford Stadium on June 30.

The release is as follows:

"It is with a heavy heart and deep regret that we pen this release to announce the cancellation of our concert event - 311 and Daughtry, scheduled for June 30th, 2018."

"Due to technical difficulties with air freighting of all their touring gear and the values attached to same, the bands' equipment would not have been able to be cleared in time for the event."

"As far as pushing the date, we have been made aware that there are no weekend dates available to us for the rest of the Summer or Fall (July to November 2018) whereby we can host both 311 and Daughtry simultaneously.

The company said it will refund all tickets.

"We are arranging for all tickets to be refunded. We remind those that won tickets as per our giveaways that all tickets are barcoded and we will not honour complimentary tickets for cash refunds."

"Refunds will be processed via the Promoter directly, and not at any Burger King, Popeyes and Little Caesars. Please stay tuned for further updates regarding refund locations," the company said.

The company added that development was out of their control.

"This was indeed an unfortunate situation that was out of everyone's control - time simply did not allow - and while we are not responsible, we still humbly apologise to you, the public, and hope for your support in the next venture," RamSingh said.
