4.0 earthquake strikes near Trinidad, Venezuela

A 4.0 earthquake was recorded near the south peninsula of Trinidad, just off the coast of Venezuela, on Thursday morning around 11:00 am. 

According to reports from the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre, the 'quake was located just 91 kilometres west of San Fernando and 100 kilometres southwest of Port of Spain.
