40 more test positive for COVID-19, no new deaths reported

Forty more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Trinidad and Tobago, according to the Ministry of Health's 4pm update on Saturday.

The total number of positive cases stood at 5,281, while active cases climbed to 1,602.

To date, 31,453 people have been tested for COVID-19.

Ninety-five people have died from the virus, while a total of 3,584 patients have recovered.

There are currently 86 people in hospital.

Fifty-four people are in step-down facilities and 307 patients in state quarantine facilities.

There are 1,462 people in home self-isolation.
