4.7 earthquake recorded west of T&T
An early morning earthquake rattled citizens on Tuesday, the latest in a series of seismic events in the region.
The earthquake registered 4.7 and took place around 7.30 am just west of Trinidad, according to the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre.
This is the third earthquake to occur near Trinidad and Tobago in the past few weeks - on Monday, a 4.0 earthquake was recorded just 126 kilometres west of San Fernando, while on June 13, 2019, a 3.9 earthquake took place just 103 kilometres northwest of Trinidad and Tobago.
