$.5M worth of ganja destroyed in Longdenville

Yet another marijuana field was destroyed by police, this time a field worth approximately $500,000. 

According to a statement from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), the trees were destroyed by officers of the Central Division Task Force during a marijuana eradication exercise which was carried out in the district.

The exercise, spearheaded by Snr. Supt. (Ag.) Inraj Balram was carried out between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm, on August 6, during which officers proceeded to a forested area located approximately one mile off Pokhor Road, Longdenville.

There, officers discovered an unoccupied camp with approximately 500 marijuana trees and 200 seedlings.

Police said the camp, trees and seedlings were subsequently destroyed.

No arrest was made in connection with the find.
