62-year-old man beaten and robbed
Police are investigating after a 62-year-old man was beaten and robbed on Monday morning.
The elderly man was warded at the hospital up to Tuesday morning.
According to police reports, the victim was found by his sister around 9:00 am Monday, tied up in a room of his San Souci home.
Both of the man’s arms were tied behind his back and he appeared to be bleeding from an injury to his head.
The woman raised an alarm and untied the injured man.
The police were notified and the victim was rushed for medical treatment.
It was said that the 62-year-old man suffered a fractured skull among other injuries.
Several items of value, including cash, jewellery, and electronic devices were stolen from them 62-year-old man’s home.
Eastern Division police are continuing inquiries.
