Updated: 6.9 earthquake rocks Trinidad

A 6.9 earthquake rocked Trinidad and Tobago on Tuesday evening.

The magnitude, originally reported as 6.8, has since been reviewed by a seismologist and revised. 

According to the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre, the quake struck a latitude of 10.56 N, a longitude of 62.80 W and a depth of 86 km.

Meanwhile, initial reports say several buildings and property have sustained damage.

Parts of Port-of-Spain are also said to be without electricity.
