82-year-old man dies after accident

Twenty-four hours after he was involved in a motor vehicular accident, an 82-year-old man succumbed to his injuries. 

The deceased is Daniel Labbhan of Longden Street, St Joseph. 

Police were told that at about 5.45 am on Friday, Labbhan was driving his vehicle along Labaha Road, when he lost control of the car and it crashed down a precipice. 

The vehicle landed a short distance off the roadway on its hood. 

Labbhan was removed from the vehicle by residents of the area, and taken for treatment at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex. 

However, at about 5.30 am on Saturday, he succumbed to his injuries. 

An autopsy was ordered to confirm the cause of death. A report was made to the police and Cpl Evans is continuing inquiries.
