Updated: Vehicle removed after accident on CRH, near Trincity lights

Update: A vehicle which skidded along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway and flipped on its hood near the Trincity traffic lights has been removed.

Road Safety Coordinator Brent Batson confirmed to Loop News that the wrecked car was pulled to the side of the road.

Traffic is now flowing smoothly.

An accident along the eastbound lane of the Churchill Roosevelt Highway on Wednesday has led to a traffic pile-up.

The vehicle, a black sedan, overturned and landed on its hood just before the Trincity lights.

From initial reports, no serious injuries were recorded.

Efforts are being made to remove the vehicle.

Motorists are being reminded to adhere to speed limits and take extra caution on rainy roads.

Police are also asking that motorists ensure that their vehicles are roadworthy and not defective.
