Adverse weather to bring heavy rainfall, thunderstorm activity

The Met Office is advising members of the public to brace for inclement weather as it issued its Adverse Weather Alert #1 – yellow level, on Tuesday.

According to the alert, inclement weather is set to affect Trinidad and Tobago as a result of the passage of a tropical wave. It is scheduled to begin at 9 am and end at 10 pm.

Atmospheric conditions are expected to be favourable enough to produce periods of heavy rainfall and thunderstorm activity, which may result in gusty winds, street and flash flooding. Landslides or landslips are also a possibility in areas so prone.

Members of the public are advised to monitor weather conditions before venturing outside.
