After brief downtime, Synergy TV due back on air today

Following instructions from the Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (TATT) to take Synergy TV off the air, the television station is expected to be back on air by the end of the day.

Instructions were issued to cable providers to remove the local television station from their channel line up at midnight on Tuesday.

The issue arose out of non-payment of fees.

However, after a meeting between TATT and Synergy TV General Manager O’Brian Haynes on Wednesday, the situation, described as a routine compliance matter, has been rectified.

Executive Officer Communications, Consumer and Information Services at TATT, Sherry McMillan confirmed to LoopTT that the television station should be back on air by the end of the day after “meeting their obligations”.
