After severed arm, severed leg found in Balandra

Hours after a severed hand was found on Matura beach, Eastern Division officers were called to another beach, this time in Balandra, where a severed leg was found.

Police were taken by a man who came forward after information spread that a severed arm had been found at Rincon Beach earlier in the day on Tuesday.

The man told police that he saw the limb the previous day, however, he was afraid to make a report.

The body part was viewed by a district medical officer and ordered removed from the scene.

CPL  Kent is continuing inquiries.

Police said they believe they know who the limbs belong to based on fingerprint records obtained from the hand which was found on Monday.

However, as of 10:00 am Tuesday it had not been confirmed if relatives had been informed, and as a result, the identity is being withheld.

More on this as it becomes available.
