Fire officers were busy on Tuesday putting out fires.

Around the same time that a fire was reported at the garbage disposal area of the Education Ministry, fire officials were called to the scene of a fire at Gallus Street, Woodbrook.

The structure, which was located opposite the Woodbrook Pentecostal Church, was quickly engulfed in flames.

The fire led to the evacuation of the church, a clinic, and a preschool.

Vehicular traffic was prevented from coming onto Upper Gallus Street as fire officials worked to contain the blaze.

While no injuries were reported, one person is now homeless following the blaze.
