AIF suspends Michelle-Lee Ahye for anti-doping violation

The Athletics Integrity Unit has issued a provisional suspension for Trinidad and Tobago sprinter Michelle-Lee Ahye for an anti-doping violation. 

According to a tweet from the AIU, which is an independent body of the IAAF, Ahye was found to be in violation of the IAAF's anti-doping rules. 

Ahye, according to the published list, is provisionally suspended for “Whereabouts Failures.”

Ahye recently won silver in the women's 100 metres at the Pan American Games in Lima Peru on 7 August 2019. 

She was part of the country's 2015 Beijing World Championships 4x100m relay team which won bronze. 

In the 2018 Australia Commonwealth Gold Coast games she was the first Trinidadian woman to place first in the 100m with a time of 11.14.
