Airports Authority to repair washrooms at domestic departure lounge
The Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (The Authority) says it is making every effort to restore use of the washroom facilities at the Domestic Departure Lounge of the Piarco International Airport.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Authority said it had serious challenges with persons discarding blankets, cloths and other insoluble materials into those toilets which have resulted in clogging and the malfunctioning of the associated plumbing systems.
“We are currently in the process of installing the relevant infrastructure which would reduce the negative effects of such action. We do sincerely regret the inconvenience caused to members of the public, but wish to advise that in the interim, customers can utilize the alternative washroom facilities adjoining the Domestic Departure Lounge and the Check-in/ Departures Concourse.”
The Authority further noted that the estimated date for completion of repair works is Monday, May 28.
