The three men who were charged under Anti-Gang legislation, have once again been denied bail.
Ancil Shawn Villafana AKA,‘Chemist’ and ‘Presi’; Kevon Isaiah Franklyn alias ‘Fat Joe’; and Keedel Fabian Montrose AKA ‘Feedel’ all appeared before Chief Magistrate Maria Busby Earl Caddle in the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Court.
At Thursday’s hearing, to determine bail, the court ruled that there was reasonable grounds to believe that the three men would “intimidate” the State’s main witness in this case, and as such bail was denied.
The matter was adjourned to November 29.
Villafana and Franklyn are charged with being leaders of a gang contrary to section 6(1) (a) of the Act No.1 of 2018.
Additionally, Villafana, Franklyn and Keedel Fabian Montrose also known as ‘Feedel’, have been charged for counselling a gang contrary to section 9(d) of the Act.
The charges were laid by acting Insp Ramdass of the Special Investigations Unit.
