Angostura donates 8,000 hand sanitisers to Nat. Sec Ministry

Angostura has donated 8,000 bottles of 375 ml hand sanitisers to Ministry of National Security, to be distributed for use by members of the Defence and Protective Services.

National Security Minister Stuart Young accepted the hand sanitisers at a brief handover ceremony that took place on Thursday.

Accompanying Minister Young to the handover ceremony, which took place at the House of Angostura in Port of Spain was the Chief of Defence Staff, Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force, Air Commodore Darryl Daniel and other members of the Defence Force.

The supply of hand sanitisers forms part of Angostura’s initiative to produce and donate the product to Trinidad and Tobago, you help contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Young thanked Angostura for its initiative and innovation.

Minister Young stated: “Out of adversity comes innovation and Angostura has led the way, and I am very proud to say, being very innovative and stepping up to the plate, to assist the country in a great time of need.”

The Minister cited that while the pandemic continues to wreak havoc, large corporations and small businesses around the world were doing their part to assist respective governments in any way they can, by developing creative solutions to halt the spread of the virus.

Also present was Chairman of Angostura Holdings Ltd., Terrence Bharath who took
the opportunity to thank the Government of Trinidad and Tobago for its leadership
in trying to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

He stated that Angostura will continue
to do its part by donating these hand sanitisers to first responders.

Angostura will be donating an additional 50,000 bottles of 375 ml and 20,000 bottles of 1.75 litres hand sanitisers to first responders and a substantial amount of that will be donated to the country through the Ministry of National Security.
