Anya returns to design with limited edition clothing line
Anya Ayoung-Chee has returned to her design roots and has launched a limited edition collection.
She made the announcement on Tuesday night via Instagram. The self-titled collection was created with locally sourced fabrics and will carry a 'Made in Trinidad and Tobago' label, something you don't see every day on your clothing tags.
While she technically never stopped designing, having created pieces for her section in TRIBE Carnival, this is her first clothing line in a few years. Previous collections have included women's line, Pilar, and lingerie line Anya de Rogue.
Anya, who recently married her longtime boyfriend, Wyatt Gallery, was visibly thrilled as she spoke about launching the collection.
"This line will bring you small quantities of new designs on a regular basis, as well as re-imagined versions of your favourite #ANYA pieces. I am thrilled to be designing again and I really look forward to delivering new pieces to your wardrobe every month!" she said in her Instagram post.
"I've learned over time to design clothes that I enjoy wearing because it helps me to focus on how many of us like to feel in our everyday life," she added.
It's apparent that her fans have missed her work. In less than a day, half of her stock has already been sold.
