Arima Borough Council complying with fraud inquiry

The Arima Borough Council is cooperating fully with Fraud Squad officials in their investigation into allegations of fraud at the Regional Corporation.
Mayor Lisa Morris-Julian assured that the Corporation has ensured full compliance in an effort to have a swift resolution to the matter, through a thorough and unhindered investigation.
The Mayor indicated that she was alerted by the Corporation's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) when information on the allegations was received. It was then that Minister of Rural Development and Local Government Kazim Hosein was contacted and informed of the matter.
Morris-Julian, who expressed outrage over the matter, said she is hopeful that the matter will be resolved quickly.
