Armed bandits invade Princes Town home

Princes Town police are investigating a report of a home invasion.

According to police reports, around 11 pm on Thursday, three people were liming in the living room of a home in St Charles Village, when four masked men stormed the premises.

Two of the men were armed with firearms, while the other two carried cutlasses.

They announced a hold-up and ordered the victims to lie on the floor.

They tied up victims and proceeded to relieve them of their cash and valuables – including a pickup truck belonging to one of the victims.

The assailants fled the scene in the stolen vehicle.

Eventually, the victims were able to untie themselves and the police were notified.

The van was eventually recovered intact in the vicinity of the Ste Madeleine Pond.

It has since been seized and is expected to be examined for fingerprints.

PC Jugoon is continuing inquiries.
