Christian Kalpee, better known as Kalpee, has made a name for himself as a master of cover songs.
He gained his early music experience representing his primary and secondary school at national music festivals where he excelled as a soloist in classical pieces. His talent grew over the years and he began his career as one of the founding members of one of "The Entourage".
He soon gained fame for doing cover songs which have shown off his broad vocal range in pop, RnB, funk, reggae and soca. Known for covers such as See You Again by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth, Maroon 5's Sugar, Drake's Hotline Bling and Sam Smith's Lay Me Down, he's developed quite a following.
His hard work has paid off and he most recently caught the eye of SONY Music, who have offered him a distribution deal with an original single with Tano, No One. Kalpee shares with us his journey and what the SONY deal means for him and his unique sound.
