Auditing firm partner in court for assault against attorney

A senior partner at a leading global auditing firm was due to appear in court on Friday after an attorney-at-law was smashed in the face with a drinking glass, causing major blood loss and 50 stitches.

According to reports, attorney Ravi Dolsingh was so badly injured during the incident in February 2018 that a major artery in his face was severed, leading to a significant loss of blood.

Dolsingh required 50 stitches and was hospitalised for some time following the assault.

The accused later turned himself into the Four Roads Police Station in Diego Martin in the presence of his attorney, Gilbert Peterson SC.

He was due to appear before a Port of Spain magistrate on Friday charged with grievous bodily harm.
