Auto dealer’s wife tells Instagram followers “I’m okay”
One well-known businessman's wife took to social media around midday on Monday to assure her followers that she was "okay" after reports of a domestic dispute at the family's home.
The post put to rest rumours of the woman's death, which had been circulating on social media and instant messaging apps earlier in the day.
Officers of the Central Division were called out this morning to the Orchard Gardens, Chaguanas home of the popular car and real estate businessman.
According to police reports, around 12:05 am on Monday, officers received a report of a disturbance at the home and made their way to the location.
Once there, however, officers were unable to get into contact with a 29-year-old woman who was said to be at home, and as the officers were not in possession of a warrant, nor did they observe any crime being committed upon their arrival, they opted to leave the location.
The officers returned this morning and were able to interview the 29-year-old woman, who gave officers a statement on the matter.
However, she informed police that she had no intention of pursuing the incident further.
The woman was then allowed to leave after police warned the businessman about any further reports of disturbances.
