Autopsy ordered after body of missing man found
An autopsy has been ordered to confirm the cause of death of a 37-year-old farmer whose decomposing body was found in Chagauramas on Friday night.
The deceased has been identified as Pooran Ramsaran from Warren Street, Cunupia.
Ramsaran’s decomposing body was found around 9pm that day, at Point Gourde.
His Nissan Navara was found a short distance away.
Police noted that due to the condition of the body they did not want to make any pronouncements to the cause of death, however, it was also acknowledged that a bottle containing what was believed to be a poisonous substance was found and seized at the crime scene.
Ramsaran was last seen alive by relatives around 11.15 am on Tuesday.
The 37-year-old had dropped off his father at their garden in Aranguez, before leaving to say that he needed to collect some documents.
