Autopsy ordered after man found dead in Piarco

An autopsy has been ordered to confirm what caused the death of Clyde Gonzales.

His body was found just after midday yesterday at his home along Second Avenue, Oropune Gardens, Piarco.

Police were told that friends of the deceased went to check on him, and they found his body lying on the ground. As a result, the police were immediately notified and officers from the Homicide Bureau and the Arouca police station, responded.

The body was viewed by a district medical officer and ordered to be taken to the Forensic Science Center in St James where a post mortem will be performed.

This is because police said that there appeared to be wounds on the body, but it could not be determined what caused the wounds, or if the wounds may have a link to the death of the man.

More on this as it becomes available.
