Bail for father of two in court for cocaine possession
A 26-year-old man was placed on $100,000 bail after appearing before a San Fernando Magistrate on charges of trafficking cocaine.
The accused, Kwesi Attale, of Marabella, appeared on Wednesday before Magistrate Alicia Chankar in the San Fernando Magistrates’ Court.
Attale was represented by defence attorney Indira Binda.
The court was told that Attale, a father of two, was arrested on Tuesday night along Charles Street, La Romaine, with six packets of cocaine which had a combined weight of 135.2 grammes.
The court was also told that Attale had two previous convictions for marijuana possession.
After further submissions, Attale was granted bail – to be approved by a clerk of the peace.
Part of the conditions of this bail was that he report to the Marabella Police Station once a week.
The matter was then adjourned to September 5.
