Bank customer rescued from robbery by bystander, man held

Thanks to the actions of a bystander, one bank customer was rescued from an attempted robbery near First Citizens Bank in San Fernando on Monday.

One man is in custody and is expected to be brought before a San Fernando Magistrate on Wednesday in connection with the incident, which took place around 9:30 am Monday in the vicinity of First Citizens Bank along Penitence Street, San Fernando.

The victim was walking with a bag towards the bank when he was confronted by the assailant. However, the victim refused to let go of his bag.
