Banks open flood relief accounts
The banking sector has joined in the efforts to bring relief to victims of last weekend’s heavy rains and floods, with each bank having created an account in the name of T&T Flood Relief.
Each of the Bankers Association’s (BATT) member- banks has opened an account and is now inviting the public to make financial donations to assist these affected communities in their recovery process.
Each bank is working with its respective NGO to ensure that the relief items and contributions meet the required families who were impacted by the severe flooding.
BATT has pledged its commitment to respond to any disaster relief appeals and to reach out to vulnerable families to help restore homes and rebuild communities.
The Association has thanked the public in advance for their contributions, as it said it is heartened by the outpouring support citizens have been providing since Saturday.
