Bhoe cautioned over CDA nepotism claims

Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister Stuart Young has cautioned cautioned Caroni Central MP Dr Bhoe Tewarie about statements made regarding alleged nepotism at the Chaguaramas Development Authority (CDA).

Tewarie said in a statement that a close relative of Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley had been placed in a senior position at the CDA and he questioned the appointment process.

Questioned on the matter during the post-cabinet media conference on Thursday, Young said he had no information on this but hinted at legal action.

"I hope for Dr Tewarie's sake, that it is true otherwise he better have court clothes," said Young.

In another statement, Tewarie criticised the government's handling of the country and the economy, saying the country is in a "deep, unholy mess."

The Rowley government has no plan, no direction, no solutions," he said.
