With the death of a motorcyclist on Sunday evening, the road fatality figure has gone up to seven.
The deceased has been identified as Peter Salandy.
Police said that at about 5 pm, Salandy was proceeding along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway in Wallerfield, when he lost control of the bike.
He skidded off the roadway and his bike came into contact with structures off the roadways.
While police do not officially have the cause of the accident, it was noted that at the time the roadway was wet because of rain and that they had received information that Salandy may have been going at a "fast-pace".
Officers are expected to review CCTV Footage on this incident to make a determination.
Meanwhile, Salandy's autopsy is carded to take place today at the Forensic Science Center in St James.
