Bishop Harvey being treated for dehydration after collapsing in church

Bishop Clyde Martin Harvey is said to be resting comfortably in a hospital in Grenada after he fainted from dehydration.

Kaelanne Jordan, Media Relations Officer at the Catholic Media Services in Trinidad, confirmed to Loop that the fifth Bishop of the Diocese of St George's-in-Grenada collapsed after a special Mass on Thursday morning at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.

"I spoke with him an hour ago and he said he's fine. He's in good spirits, making light of the incident. He is resting comfortably at the St George General Hospital (a public hospital) where he is being treated for "extreme dehydration"," she said via email.

Jordan said the Bishop is expected to be discharged later today and will resume activities on Monday.
