Bodies found in Prince Town, Rio Claro

Police are investigating the discoveries of two bodies in South Trinidad on Sunday.

In the first incident, officers were alerted to the discovery of the body of a 61-year-old man in the bedroom of his Manahambre Road, Princes Town home around 10 am Sunday.

An autopsy is expected to determine the cause of death, but investigators do not suspect foul play.

Meanwhile, the body of a man was found nearly two hours later in a river in Rio Claro.

A farmer making checks at his gardens near Dades Trace, Tabaquite Road, Rio Claro, made the discovery.  

The body was badly decomposed and officers were not able to identify the deceased nor attain an indication on what may be the cause of death.

The deceased was clad only in his underwear at the time.

A team of officers led by Inspector Garcia, and included PC Ali, PC Wilkinson, PC Charles, and PC Gillead visited the scene.
