The body of an Arouca man was found down a precipice in Blanchisseuse on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Barry Boxill of Bon Air Garidens, Arouca.
According to police reports around 4 pm, officers received intelligence that the body of a man had been observed in a patch of grass down a precipice off Blanchisseuse Road, near an area known as Christophione Field.
A team of officers from the Northern Division and the Homicide Bureau, under the supervisions of Snr Sup Ramkhelawan, responded.
The officers, with the aid of officials from the TT Defence Force, removed the body which was an estimated 50 feet off the roadway.
Loop News was told that the body bore marks of violence, including wounds to the head.
However, an autopsy was ordered to confirm what would have caused the death.
