Body found in Couva

An autopsy has been ordered to confirm the cause of death of a man whose unidentified body was found in Couva on Wednesday night.

According to reports, at about 8:00 pm yesterday, residents of Deonarine Junction, Mc Bean Couva, informed police that a foul stench was coming from a house along the roadway.

The officers made their way to the location given and they found the badly decomposing body of a man.

The man was said to have been clad in a grey tee shirt with blue stripes and orange pants.

The body was too badly decomposed for speculation as to a cause of death, however, foul play was not suspected as of 6:00 am today.

An autopsy has been ordered to confirm this, pending identification.

More on this as it becomes available.

In a separate incident, police discovered the body of a man in Icacos, and are continuing investigations.
