Body found in D'Abadie, police suspect foul play

An autopsy has been ordered to confirm what caused the death of 60-year-old Selwyn Springer.

Springer’s body was found around 4 pm on Friday in his home along Sunburn Terrace, Red Hill, D'Abadie.

Residents told police they detected a foul stench, and upon investigating, they found Springer’s body.

Officers from the Arouca Police Station and the Homicide Bureau, responded.

When officers arrived at the scene, they observed Springer’s partially decomposing body, and that there appeared to be evidence that the house was ransacked.

As a result, an autopsy was ordered to determine what was the cause of death.

This is expected to be done tomorrow at the Forensic Science Center in St James.
