Body found near school still unidentified
Police are calling on the public’s help in identifying the body of a man which was discovered on Tuesday morning in the vicinity of the Aranguez North Secondary School.
No one has come forward, and as such, no autopsy has officially been performed on the body to confirm the cause of death.
The only identity for the deceased was that he was a “homeless man” who frequented the area and was simply known as “Sleepy”.
He appeared to be a man in his late 50s and of brown complexion with a medium build.
He was last seen alive on Monday night walking along the roadways of the community coughing blood.
When the body was viewed by a district medical officer, a wound was observed to the head, however, it could not be confirmed how the injury occurred.
Anyone with information which could lead to the identification of the deceased is asked to contact the Barataria Police Station or can give information anonymously at 555 or 800-TIPS
