Body found on riverbank

An autopsy is expected to be performed today at the Forensic Science Center in St James to determine what caused the death of 48-year-old Nowray Rooplal.

Rooplal, of Dharamdass Trace, St Julien Road, Princes Town, was found dead on Monday morning.

His body was seen floating near the river bank at Dyette Village.

The police were notified and officials fished the body out of the water.

It is believed that the 48-year-old man may have fallen into the river and drowned.
