Body found in Ste Madeline pond
The body of a man was fished out of the Ste Madeline pond on Sunday after police received reports of a strange floating object near the non-functioning Usine Ste Madeline Factory.
Officers received the report and visited the pond around 8:15 am.
There, they found the body wrapped with linoleum, garbage bags and cloth which were tied with wire.
On further inspection, police observed that both hand and feet were bound by wire while a cloth was wrapped around the victim's neck.
Officers believe the man was murdered before he was dumped.
The victim was dressed in black three-quarter pants with the words “star bowy” tattooed on the left arm.
Anyone with information on a person matching the description is asked to contact the nearest police station.
