Body found in Tobago still unidentified

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the body of a woman which was found on Wednesday morning in Tobago.

The body was said to have been discovered in some bushes off the Auchenskeoch Buccoo Bay Road, in the vicinity of Republic Bank.

The body was in an advanced stage of decomposition, leading investigators to believe that it may have been there for about three days.

From initial examinations, there did not appear to be any marks of violence about the body.

The deceased appears to be a woman of African descent, with braided hair and appears to be in her 40s.

Anyone with information which could lead to the identification of the deceased is asked to contact the police.
